Would everything freeze in place?
Time stood still. All the physical processes dependent on time would freeze. Motion, that is to say, a change in position over time, would cease. Imagine everything freezing in its tracks. Imagine how the birds froze in mid-air, rivers just ceased flowing, planets no longer orbiting around the sun. Even the molecular vibrations maintaining matter would cease, and then the question is: Would things fall apart without time to keep them together?
Strangely enough, since light would also take some time to travel, it too would be delayed. New photons would no longer reach your eyes; you would go totally dark. Sound as well would cease because it takes a certain amount of time for the sound waves to travel through the air. No input from your senses would happen, and it would get really dark and quiet-a situation no living organism could comprehend.
